The glassy carbon electrode modified with reduced graphene oxide (ErGO/GCE) was fabricated by electrochemical reduction using cyclic voltammetry with conditions: graphene oxide 1 mg/mL, pH = 7: potential range from -1.5 V to 0 V. The ErGO/GCE was applied to determine amaranth in food with optimal conditions such as Britton-Robinson buffer pH 3.0, adsorption potential 0 V, adsorption time 30 s, scan rate 20 mV/s, linearity range from 1×10-7 mol. L-1to 1×10-6 mol. L-1, limit of detection 3×10-8 mol. L-1 and limit of quantification 10×10-8 mol. L-1. The proposed method was applied to determine amaranth in candy samples
