Thehorseshoevortexduetoaboundary-layerflowpastawing-bodyjunctioniscommoninengineeringapplications.Thehorseshoevortexmayresultinvorticalflow,non-uniformwakedistribution,andnoisesignalandaffecttheefficiencyofpropulsor.Therefore,thedevelopmentandsuppressionofthehorseshoevortexstructurearevitalengineeringissues.Inthepresentstudy,weintroducedastraketothewing-bodyjunctionandconductedacomputationalparametricstudyofthestrakesurfaceonthedevelopmentofhorseshoevortexandinvestigatetheeffectsofsuppressingthevortex.TheSpalart-Allmarasturbulencemodelwasemployedinthecomputation.Theresultswereexaminedandwefoundthatthehorseshoevortexcanbesignificantlyreducedandthewakeflowmuchimproved.
