The training of modern engineers applies the CDIO approach (Conceiving, Designing, Implementing, and Operation) in order to balance training objectives with reality. Teaching practices at technical institutions are receiving considerable attention. This is possible within the framework of the CDIO Syllabus, which integrates theory and practice, different subjects, and brings together faculty and students in a collaborative activity. The paper also examines different approaches to the development of practice-oriented modern engineering training programs. Students’ technical thinking ability is the link between university training and career performance.
