Kể từ khi Joseph Nye giới thiệu thuật ngữ sức mạnh mềm vào năm 1990, sức mạnh mềm đã nhanh chóng thu hút được sự quan tâm, nghiên cứu của các học giả và nhà chính trị trên thế giới. Bước sang thế kỷ XXI, sức mạnh mềm được ứng dụng ngày càng nhiều trong chính sách đối ngoại quốc gia, nhằm gia tăng vị thế, sức ảnh hưởng trên thế giới. Với mục đích góp phần nghiên cứu về nội hàm của sức mạnh mềm, bài viết tìm hiểu sâu hơn về bối cảnh ra đời sức mạnh mềm của Joseph Nye, quá trình hình thành từ thuật ngữ sức mạnh mềm cho đến khi Joseph Nye hoàn thiện khái niệm sức mạnh mềm một cách hệ thống, nội dung của sức mạnh mềm và sức mạnh mềm được triển khai trong chiến lược đối ngoại của một số quốc gia có sức mạnh mềm hàng đầu thế giới hiện nay.Since the introduction of soft power in 1990 by Joseph Nye, the term has quickly attracted the attention and research of scholars and politicians around the world. Soft power has been increasingly applied in national foreign policy to increase its position and influence in the world in the 21st century. To contribute to research on soft power, the article delves into the historical context of Joseph Nye’s soft power, evolution from the term soft power until Joseph Nye’s systematic perfection of this term, the content of soft power and the deployment of soft power in foreign strategies of some most influential soft power countries.
