Based on the theoretical basis of managing child rearing and care activities, the article surveys and evaluates the current status of managing these activities in public preschools in Binh Chanh district, Ho Chi Minh City. The results show that managers and teachers have a good awareness of their operational roles, thereby effectively implementing the goals and content of nurturing and caring for children. However, in management there are still many inadequacies and passivity in the stages of planning, organizing, directing, inspecting and evaluating results. The results of the current situation assessment will suggest new approaches to management for preschools.
