Introduction: In this study, the authors present the results in application of IMRT technique for tonsilcancer at Hue central hospital.Materials and methods: Prospective study and retrospective study on 31 patients with tonsil cancer from March 2015 to May 2020 by IMRT technique. Mean age was 62,32 ± 14,31 years old (range: 40-92years old), 80.6% were male.Results: The predominant T and N stage was T3 (90,3%), N1 (58,1%) and N2 (25,8%), and well andmoderate histological differentiation of the tumor were 81,7%.The predominant stages were III and IVA stages (96.8%). The rate of tumour recurrence was3.2% after 6 months treatment, 14.3% after 12 monthstreatment, 16.7% after 24 months treatment.The rate of lymph node recurrence was3.2% after 6 monthstreatment, 9.5% after 12 months treatment, 22.2% after 24 months treatment.The rate of metastatic was16.7% after 24 months treatment. Grade 2 mucositis occurred in 54.8% of patients due to treatment.Grade3 mucositis occurred in 32.3% of patients due to treatment.Normal xerostomia was revealed in 14.3% ofpatients after 12 months treatment, 27.8% of patients after 24 months treatment, 41.7% of patients after 36months treatment.Conclusions: The results indicate that IMRT technique provides satisfactory results and should be applicated in treatment of tonsil cancerTrong nghiên cứu này, các tác giả đã trình bày kết quả điều trị ung thư amydale bằng kỹ thuật xạ trị điều biến liều tại bệnh viện trung ương Huế. Đối tượng và phương pháp nghiên cứu: Nghiên cứu hồi cứ và tiến cứu trên 31 bệnh nhân ung thư amydale được điều trị liên tục bằng kỹ thuật xạ trị điều biến liều từ tháng 3 năm 2015 đến tháng 5 năm 2020. Tuổi trung bình 62,32,5± 14,7 tuổi (từ 40-92 tuổi), 80,6% là nam. Kết quả: Khối u T3 (90,3%) và hạch N1 (58,1%), hạch N2 (25,8%) chiếm ưu thế. Giai đoạn bệnh III và IVA chiếm đa số với tỷ lệ 96.8%. Độ biệt hóa mô học tốt và trung bình chiếm 81,7%. Tỷ lệ tái phát u sau 6 tháng, sau12 tháng và sau 24 tháng lần lượt là 3,2%, 14,3% và 16,7%.Tỷ lệ tái phát hạch sau 6 tháng, sau12 tháng và sau 24 tháng lần lượt là 3,2%, 9,5% và 22,2%.Tỷ lệ di căn xa sau 24 tháng là 16,7%. Bỏng miệng độ 2 và độ 3 lần lượt là 54,8% và 32,3% trong quá trình điều trị. Không khô miệng sau 12 tháng, sau 24 tháng và sau 36 tháng điều trị lần lượt là 14,3%, 27.8% và 41.7%. Kết luận: Kỹ thuật xạ trị điều biến liều của chúng tôi cho kết quả tốt. Nên được áp dụng trong điều trị ung thư amydale.
