Background: Dengue fever is still a major public health problem in Vietnam. It can progress to severe and lethal forms, and available knowledge does not allow early prediction of which dengue fever (DF) cases will go to dengue hemorrhagic fever (DHF). This study aimed to find clinical and laboratory predictors of severe dengue cases in the revised 2019 Ministry of Health of Vietnam classification. Methods: From July 2019 to May 2020, we conducted on 193 dengue hemorrhage fever children and 11 with severe dengue hemorrhagic fever children diagnosed in the Pediatrics Center of Hue Central Hospital. Results: We compared two groups and provided some prognosis factors (P <
0,05) included females, obesity, and AST >
100 U/L. Conclusion: We recommend disseminating these data to stakeholders to improve dengue control interventions with anticipated high incidence periods
