Background: Increasing age is the most prevalent, primary risk factor for breast cancer. However, thetreatment of breast cancer in older women were less active than younger women and there is a relative lack of evidence-based guidelines to inform the treatment of breast cancer in elderly woman. In this study,we evaluated the results of treatment of breast cancer in elderly woman based on the tumor characteristics.Material and methods: This study was designed with 60 breast cancer patients older than 65 years old.Evaluation of clinical, subclinical characteristics and treatment results initially (disease-free survival andtotal survival after 2 years) of this group.Results: We conducted a study of 60 elderly woman with breast cancer. The majority of patients withinvasive ductal carcinoma (90%), histological grade I, II (76,3%) and the patients with stage I, II diseasewere 80,4%. The older patients have been found to have a greater frequency of molecular subtypes:luminal A and B (34% and 22%), however the triple-negative/basal-like was 28%. The rate of modifiedradical mastectomy was 93,3%, only 46,4% of patients received adjuvant therapy (chemotherapy, radiationtherapy, hormonal therapy and antibody therapy). Local recurrence and distant metastasis were 11,7% and18,3%, mortality was 16,7% with a median follow-up of 28,03 months.Conclusions: Breast carcer in older patients has better prognosis factors than younger women.However, current adjuvant systemic therapy options for older women with breast cancer was not clear.Phụ nữ lớn tuổi là một yếu tố nguy cơ của ung thư vú. Tuy nhiên, việc điều trị ung thư biểu mô tuyến vú ở người lớn tuổi thường ít tích cực hơn so với phụ nữ trẻ và vẫn còn thiếu những hướng dẫn điều trị dựa trên bằng chứng y học đối với phụ nữ lớn tuổi mắc ung thư vú. Trong nghiên cứu này, chúng tôi đánh giá kết quả điều trị ung thư biểu mô tuyến vú ở phụ nữ lớn tuổi dựa trên những đặc điểm lâm sàng và cận lâm sàng của nhóm bệnh nhân này. Ung thư biểu mô tuyến vú ở người lớn tuổi có các yếu tố tiên lượng tốt hơn so với nhóm phụ nữ trẻ. Tuy nhiên, điều trị hỗ trợ cho bệnh nhân ung thư vú lớn tuổi vẫn chưa rõ ràng
