Hydraulic modeling experiments are of paramount significance in the esigning and constructing of irrigation and hydroelectric projects. These experiments have proven instrumental in resolving challenging issues pertaining to project design and operation, including solution of construction layout, energy dissipation to prevent erosion, increased discharge ability, eliminate oblique currents at slopes, reduce flow velocity and downstream wave heights. Beyond engineering efficacy, these models have also yielded substantial economic benefits, resulting in significant cost savings amounting to billions of dong. This article expounds on the indispensable role and efficacy of hydraulic model testing, supplemented by practical examples of successfully implemented projectsThí nghiệm mô hình thủy lực đóng vai trò quan trọng trong thiết kế xây dựng các công trình thủy lợi, thủy điện.
