In an increasingly interconnected world, English for Special Purposes(ESP) plays an essential role in equipping informatics technology students with thenecessary language skills for their field. This article investigates the current state ofESP learning among informatics technology students at Haiphong University andaddresses the challenges they face. These students often confront limitations inaccessing authentic materials, insufficient speaking and writing practice, andinadequate integration of language instruction with their core curriculum. To enhancetheir English language proficiency, the author proposes a set of solutions. Theseinclude providing access to authentic materials, practical language application,collaboration with the experts, integrating language instruction with the corecurriculum, and establishing language support clubs. By bridging the gap betweenlanguage learning and their field of study, Haiphong University can better prepare itsstudents for the global demands of the informatics technology sector.
