Vietnamese is the main communication language of Vietnamese people. However, in the current era of industrialization and modernization, the strong development of science and technology, especially information technology such as telephone, internet... has significantly influenced ideology, values and standards. The adoption of many foreign languages, in addition to making the national language richer, still causes the abuse of foreign languages to lose the purity of the Vietnamese language. With the desire to learn more deeply about the current situation of Vietnamese language use by young people, especially students today, the author used the method of opinion polling and in-depth interviews with students at Dong Nai University of Technology, Dong Nai University and Lac Hong University. Then the author analyzed the documents based on inheritance and selective absorption to clarify the topic. In this article, the author also used some information on the internet and proposed some specific solutions to preserve the purity of the Vietnamese language.
