Due to core dificulties in students with Autism Spectrum Disoders (ASD) and for those accessing grade 1 with very new and unexpected environment, developing independent living skills (ILS) is significantly important. Whereas, various groups of those skills are often not attracted by teachers and caregivers in teaching and formulating other skills such as cognition and language. The article firstly aims to review some practical and theoretical issues about ILS and developing ILS for students with ASD learning at 1st grade in inclusive classrooms, then evaluating the result of a research for 30 inclusive educators. It also proposes four strategies on how to develop ILS for 1st grade students with ASD in inclusive primary school.
