On 28th October, 2014, Vietnam National Assembly issued the decisionN88/2014/QH13 regarding “Curriculum and Textbook Comprehensive national educationinnovation Project”. Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training decided to bring in a newcurriculum in all subject areas, including English. This curriculum was known ascompetence-based curriculum.
