For many years of teaching English to non-linguistic subjects, the less enthusiastic participation of students in speaking lessons is one of the many worries of teachers. It seems difficult and time-consuming for them to start a conversation, and many students don’t try persistently enough so they can easily stop and move on to something else. In general, non-majors are often not interested enough in speaking practice, partly due to lack of ideas and motivation, partly due to lack of confidence in their speaking ability. The research was conducted with the aim of increasing learners’ participation in speaking lessons thanks to the use of visual aids that contribute to increasing their interest.
