English communication skills play an important role for every student at Hai Phong University. It demonstrates in the field of improving knowledge and professional knowledge, especially in the context of Vietnam’s international. integration. However, through studying and analyzing the current status of English communication skills training of non-linguistic students at Hai Phong University, the author found that the students have achieved satisfactory results in English communication skills. However, they still have many limitations such as lack of confidence in communication or the ability to communicate even at a simple sentence level. Within the limits of this article, the author would like to present a summary of the research results and propose some solutions to further improve English communication skills for students through activities to create an English environment in the classroom and outside the classroom.
