The objective of the research focuses on evaluating the current status of vocabulary teaching in general Chinese for non-major students at the elementary level at Dong Nai University. The research was conducted through a student survey. Based on the results of the investigation, study related documents, analyze, summarize, and find remaining problems and obstacles in students’ vocabulary learning process. The research results can serve as a basis for providing teaching methods suitable to reality to improve the teaching situation and improve students’ Chinese language level.
