With the development of computer technology, methods of acquiring Chinese listening skills with multimedia support have been popularized and play a big role in teaching and learning Chinese. This article examines the impact of Chinese podcasts on the listening comprehension of first-year college students majoring in Chinese. This study examined the changes and learning effects of students' listening comprehension ability through a 5-week podcast transcription activity. At the same time, students completed surveys about learner attitudes before and after the experiment and students' views on podcast use. The results of the study indicate that using podcasts as a learning tool improves students' listening ability, promoting interest in learning. In addition, students seem to pay more attention to listening skills than before and realize the necessity of improving their listening skills.
