In the process of integrating with countries around the world, mastering one or more foreign languages is a necessary skill, especially for students in key economic areas like Ho Chi Minh City. The goal of the research is to survey and understand the factors affecting the choice of learning Chinese among students in Ho Chi Minh City today. Collected data will be statistically and analyzed to make judgments about the impact of the above factors on students’ decisions. The results show that there are 4 factors affecting the choice of Chinese by Ho Chi Minh City students, in order of attitude, career opportunities, ability, and social influence.
