In recent years, the rapid development of science, technology and dig-ital technology has created major changes in the publishing industry, fostering and training publishing editorial teams in the publishing environment. Tradi-tional versions were unable to meet market needs. So how to reform and build a training system that meets the practical requirements of the profession and the development of science and technology is an issue of great concern to Chinese publishing editors and educators. Based on the digital publishing training pro-grams of some Chinese universities, the article focuses on analyzing the differ-ences in traditional publishing and digital publishing training, thereby pointing out existing problems and new requirements in practicing publishing editing skills in today's digital publishing environment in China. At the same time, it al-so points out some experiences that universities in China have implemented to innovate digital publishing training programs to meet the requirements of the 4.0 scientific and technological revolution.
