Besides, the phenomenon of antonyms also shows unique characteristics in the language of each nation. Combining research on antonyms in proverbs is a direction that needs attention. This article would like to address the semantic issue of antonyms in Vietnamese and Chinese proverbs based on the analysis of relationships between single-meaning words, single-meaning words with polysemous words, and between words with multiple meanings. , thereby partly showing the similarities and differences in the two languages.
