In the process of global integration, foreign language (FL) is considered one of the important tools in order to help people communicating, promoting the exchanges in many aspects such as economy, society, culture, politic, education, etc. Therefor, learning and teaching of foreign langauge presents among the top priorities nowsaday. Like many other languagues, learning French as a FL requires a focus at the same time for all the four communicative skills : Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking. Among these skills, FL learners face many obstacles and difficulties while learning and practicing the Listening comprehension. As such, they need to invest a lot of time and efforts for Listening in particular and for all the four skills in general. At Faculty of French – Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE), based on our statistic, the number of students who have a low grade for Listening comprehension increases recently, even for second year students of the Faculty. This present study focuses on analyzing the difficulties of the students during their learning of Listening comprehension. We hereby suggest some pedaogical solutions regarding designing the Listening comprehension modules for self-learning purposes.
