Awareness of the work motivation of management staff and instructors is crucial for enhancing work motivation in universities. The research findings indicate that both managers and lecturers at Thu Dau Mot University have a strong understanding of the significance of effective work motivation, which is reflected in the trust, engagement, and happiness of employees. This conclusion is based on the analysis of quantitative data collected from a survey of 229 lecturers and 24 managers. Based on these findings, it is recommended that Thu Dau Mot University persist in implementing strategies to enhance lecturers’ job motivation. Promoting the formation of academic professional networks, which would enable them to offer one another support, can help achieve this. Furthermore, it is imperative to motivate lecturers to persist in their innovative and creative efforts in order to enhance awareness of job motivation.
