HộiLHPN ViệtNamAbstract VietnamWomen'sUnion(VWU)isasocio-politicalorganizationthatgathersa greatnumberofwomen.Itsmissionsaretoprotectlegitimaterightsandinterestsofwomen, targetgenderequalityfortheadvancementofwomen.TheVWUisanorganizationinthe politicalsystemofthecountryandisoneofthemembersoftheVietnamFatherlandFrontled bytheVietnamCommunistParty.ThegreathistoricalsignificanceofDoiMoioverthepast30 yearshasmadeanimportantcontributionofwomenwhorepresenthalfofthepopulation.Innovation and international integration both require female expertise and create conditions forwomentoactivelyandproactivelyparticipateinbuildingthenation,whilesimultaneously developingtheircreativepotentials,leadingtotheprogressandgenderequalityofwomen.The Partyemphasizestheneedtosynchronizeeconomicreformsandpoliticalreforms,inwhichwe mustmakeeffortstoinnovateandimprovetheeffectivenessoftheParty'sleadershiptowomen mobilizationandVWUoperation.Inordertofulfillthatimportantrequirement,theVWU led by the Party needs to actively innovate its organizational structure and operation, search forpracticalsolutionstohelpwomenbothactivelyparticipateinbusiness,andtotakepartin professional,political(politicalparticipation)andsocialactivities.Thisneedstobedonewithout women losing focus on their role in building cultural, equal, prosperous and happy families.
