Though listening is fundamental to the acquisition of the English language, there has been little research about this skill. From my own experience and having applied some techniques to help students prefer learning listening skills is the reason that the writer decided to study the topic “Applying some techniques to improve listening comprehension skill for non-major students at the High Quality System, Thuong Mai University”. The study was conducted on the two random groups of Human Resource Management and Banking and Finance – Thuong Mai University. One is the experimental group, the other is the control one. As a result, the experimental group which was taught some techniques to practice listening skills had better results than the control group.
