Đại dịch Covid-19 đã ảnh hưởng nghiêm trọng đến cuộc sống thường ngày của con người (y tế, giáo dục, văn hóa...). Dịch bệnh kéo dài khiến môi trường học tập của du học sinh Việt Nam tại Nhật Bản và các quốc gia khác bị ảnh hưởng. Điều đáng nói, phần lớn du học sinh sang Nhật Bản du học dưới dạng tự túc, đi làm thêm để trang trải cuộc sống. Tình trạng mất việc làm, thu nhập bấp bênh thậm chí hết hạn visa không thể về nước ngày càng phổ biến. Các hoạt động hỗ trợ của Đại sứ quán và tổ chức xã hội đã giúp cho du học sinh vượt qua giai đoạn khó khăn. Tuy nhiên, vẫn còn một số hạn chế trong việc hỗ trợ du học sinh Việt Nam tại Nhật Bản đòi hỏi Chính phủ hai nước cần có những biện pháp hỗ trợ kịp thời giúp giảm thiểu khó khăn do Covid-19 gây ra. Dựa vào tài liệu thứ cấp và kết quả phỏng vấn sâu đối với nhóm du học sinh Việt Nam tại Nhật Bản năm 2021, bài viết phân tích một số hoạt động trợ giúp và gợi mở chính sách giúp du học sinh vượt qua khó khăn trong bối cảnh dịch bệnh Covid-19., Tóm tắt tiếng anh, The Covid-19 pandemic has seriously affected people's daily lives (health, education, culture, etc.). The prolonged pandemic has affected the learning environment of Vietnamese expat students in Japan and other countries. It is worth mentioning that most Vietnamese students come to Japan to study in the form of self-sufficiency, working part-time to pay for their lives. The situation of unemployment, unstable income, expired visa so that they are unable to return home is increasingly common. Support activities of the Vietnam embassy in Japan and social organizations have helped Vietnamese expat students overcome difficult time. However, there are still some limitations in supporting Vietnamese expat students in Japan, requiring the governments of the two countries to take timely support measures to help minimize difficulties caused by Covid-19. Based on secondary documents and the results of in-depth interviews with a group of Vietnamese expat students in Japan in 2021, the article analyzes a number of support activities and suggests policies to help Vietnamese expat students overcome difficulties in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic.
