Thực hiện trách nhiệm xã hội (TNXH) là một trong những tiêu chí quan trọng đảm bảo cho sự phát triển bền vững của doanh nghiệp (DN) bên cạnh việc thúc đẩy hoạt động sản xuất kinh doanh. TNXH của DN thể hiện ở việc đảm bảo lợi ích của người lao động, cộng đồng, môi trường và xã hội. Kế toán môi trường đang ngày càng được các DN quan tâm và dành sự đầu tư thích đáng, nhằm thực hiện tốt TNXH của mình góp phần bảo vệ môi trường. Bài viết này tập trung vào tìm hiểu thực trạng việc thực hiện kế toán môi trường tại các DN Việt Nam, tầm quan trọng của kế toán môi trường trong DN đối với việc thực hiện TNXH. Environmental accounting is more and more interested and appropriately invested by enterprises to fulfill their social responsibility and contribute to environmental protection. This article focuses on understanding the reality of the implementation of environmental accounting in Vietnamese enterprises and the importance of environmental accounting in order be socially responsible. In addition, the article proposes a number of solutions to well implement environmental accounting to ensure the fulfillment of social responsibilities of Vietnamese businesses.
