Ultrasound tomography would allow ultrasound imaging to reach its full potential, compared to X-ray, MRI, etc. It is based on inverse scattering and has the capability todetect structures whose sizes are smaller than the wavelength of the incident wave, asopposed to conventional one using pulse-echo technique. Some material properties suchas sound contrast and attenuation are very useful to detect small objects. The DistortedBorn Iterative Method (DBIM) based on first-order Born approximation is an efficientdiffraction tomography approach. In this paper, we propose a modified DBIM approach inorder to improve the reconstruction quality by using the information of the multi-distancereceiver. The normalized error of the proposed approach is significantly reduced
