Over the past two decades, Globalization and Diversity have become one of the most real topics. Today, the world is so enamored with what new information technology has made possible that the world has become digitally controlled. This digital revolution has spread across the world and infiltrated both private homes and businesses. Technology has influenced other aspects of our lives and interacted with our cultures and traditions through moving and incorporating certain habits, customs, cultures or values of different societies to create the concept of globalization. One of the aspects affected by globalization is English language teaching and learning (ELT). That is, with the rapid pace of globalization there has been a great change in the field of ELT. This article focuses on describing the role of technology in teaching and learning English. New information and communication technology (ICT) has dramatically changed the way we live, learn, work and even think about work. Using technology as a media in the classroom is very useful and can increase students’ enjoyment in the learning process.
