Self-study plays an important role not only in school but also in the practical life of each individual. In addition to improving learning outcomes, self-study also provides opportunities for learners to develop and practice the ability to operate independently, creatively and for lifelong learning. In particular, for the 2018 Literature program focusing on competence development, students need to have the ability to self-study. The article offers some measures to help students form and develop the ability to self-study Literature at the secondary school level.
