BCT (Business Chinese Test) is a test that evaluates the ability to use Chinese to communicate in many situations related to commercial business activities, issued by the Office of the International Chinese Language Council (Hanban) in charge of organization. Except for the BCT (Speaking) test, the BCT (A) and BCT (B) tests both include three skills (Listening, Reading and Writing) for business Chinese learners at the beginner and advanced levels, respectively. During the process of teaching and preparing for the exam, the author realized that the Reading Comprehension section of the BCT test still has some limitations. These limitations have become barriers that significantly affect exam preparation as well as performance, so in this article the author will make some suggestions for amendments to improve this part of the test as well as be more helpful for teaching and reviewing Reading comprehension skills in the BCT test.
