Green economy development is a global trend for sustainable economicdevelopment in countries around the world, including Vietnam. Vietnam is fortunate to belocated in a region with strong economic development and have many favorable social andlegal conditions to develop a green economy like its neighboring countries. However, Vietnam'seconomy continues to be driven by a brown growth model characterized by dependence on rawmaterial production, unsustainable consumption of fossil fuels and natural resources, andincreasing environmental pollution. This research paper points out the inevitability of the greeneconomy, a trend of sustainable development in Viet Nam, thereby proposing recommendationsand solutions in order to develop a green economy associated with the sustainable developmentof the country comprehensively, both achieving economic growth goals and ensuring socialsecurity, environmental protection and ecosystems for the future.
