The theoretical and practical system of teaching based on the competency approach has affirmed: Teaching based on the competency approach helps learners form and develop competencies, creating opportunities for learners to associate theory with practice, learning activities associated with reality, contributing to the training of high-quality human resources, promoting the development of society and the military. However, currently, teaching based on the competency approach at military officer schools still faces many difficulties, affecting the quality of the training process for officers and officers in the army. The article presents the difficult situation in teaching based on the competency approach at military officer schools.
