Teaching according to the STEAM education model aims to develop creative thinking, problem-solving and collaboration skills, technological proficiency, and the ability to integrate knowledge from multiple subjects to address real-world problems for students. Organizing the teaching of Topic 1 in the Ho Chi Minh City Local Education Material for 6th-grade students through STEAM education is a modern educational method that helps achieve this goal. This article presents the scientific basis of STEAM education and applies it to designing teaching steps for the topic, contributing to enhancing the effectiveness of local education in secondary schools in HCMC.
