Vietnam is entering a period of digital transformation, with digital technology being applied across almost all fields and industries, impacting and changing all aspects of human life. Digital technology is extensively used in teaching and learning in most educational institutions. Students are also provided with new opportunities thanks to advancements in information and communication technology. Therefore, each student needs to acquire various skills to adapt to the changes of the new era. This article outlines theoretical and practical issues and offers recommendations to enhance digital competence for university students in general and students at Nghe An University of Economics in particular.
