Dịch vụ thông tin – thư viện (DV TT - TV) là cầu nối, hỗ trợ đắc lực cho giảng viên, học viên sau đại học và sinh viên khai thác hiệu quả nguồn tài nguyên thông tin trong thư viện các trường đại học. Chính vì vậy, công tác cải tiến và nâng cao chất lượng DV TT - TV là một hoạt động cần diễn ra thường xuyên tại các thư viện đại học (TVĐH). Qua đánh giá thực trạng DV TT - TV tại Thư viện trường Đại học Khoa học Xã hội và Nhân văn, Đại học Quốc gia Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh (ĐH KHXH&NV, ĐHQG-HCM), bài viết đề xuất một số biện pháp nhằm cải tiến hoạt động này, từ đó góp phần tạo ra những sản phẩm và dịch vụ thông tin có chất lượng, phục vụ nhu cầu đào tạo và nghiên cứu khoa học cho người sử dụng (NSD).Library and Information Service is a bridge which supports effectively for lectures, postgraduates and undergraduates in exploiting efficiently the information resources in the University Library. Therefore, the improvement of the quality of the Library and Information Service is a regular activity in university libraries. Based on the assessment reports and surveys concerning to the Library and Information Services at the University Library of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, the paper presents measure to improve this activity, thereby contributing to create valuable products and services in order to meet the needs of training and scientific research for users.
