Bồi dưỡng thường xuyên là một trong nhiều mô hình nhằm phát triển nghề nghiệp liên tục cho giáo viên mầm non và được xem là mô hình có ưu thế giúp số đông giáo viên được tiếp cận với các chương trình phát triển nghề nghiệp. Chính vì thế, công tác bồi dưỡng thường xuyên cho giáo viên nói chung và giáo viên mầm non nói riêng góp phần nâng cao chất lượng giáo dục được xem là khâu đột phá, trọng tâm của công cuộc đổi mới căn bản và toàn diện giáo dục. Bởi muốn có chất lượng giáo dục tốt trước hết phải bồi dưỡng đội ngũ giáo viên có chất lượng cao. Do đó, để giáo viên mầm non tích cực, thu hút bởi các khóa bồi dưỡng thường xuyên, hình thức bồi dưỡng thường xuyên cần đa dạng, có sự kết hợp giữa truyền thống và hiện đại.Continuing education is one of many models for continuous professional development for preschool teachers and is considered as the dominantmodel to help themajority of teachers have access to professional development programs.
