Literature and cinema are two typical art forms which have a dialectical relationship with each other, but each type has its own characteristics that make it different. Literature provides cinema with themes, plots, materials, etc. to form movie scripts. On the other hand, cinema will bring literature closer to the public when reading culture is increasingly of concern in today's era. Ho Anh Thai is a novelist with a cinematic mindset. The writer often clearly states his ideas about the correlation and difference between literature and cinema. The cinematic nature of Ho Anh Thai's novels manifests itself in many aspects such as the art of camera narration, continuous space-time transitions like movies on a screen, the visual system that creates visual effects, the language of cinema, lyrics, etc. With his cinematic novel writing style, Ho Anh Thai has renewed the novel, contributing to the overall achievements of contemporary Vietnamese literature.Văn học và điện ảnh là hai loại hình nghệ thuật tiêu biểu, có mối quan hệ biện chứng với nhau, song mỗi loại hình lại có nét đặc trưng làm nên sự khu biệt. Văn học cung cấp cho điện ảnh đề tài, cốt truyện, chất liệu, ... để hình thành những kịch bản phim.
