Describe the knowledge, attitude and practice about plastic waste of students of the Doctor of Preventive Medicine system at Hanoi Medical University. Subjects anh methods: A cross-sectional descriptive study on 370 students of preventive medicine doctors at Hanoi Medical University in 2021, in order to collect information on knowledge, attitudes and practices about plastic waste. Results: Most of the students have a good understanding of the impact of plastic waste on the environment, health and animals (>
95%), however, their knowledge about other aspects of plastic waste is not good. There are 91.9% of students think that reducing plastic waste is necessary and very necessary. 88.4% of students think they have a personal responsibility to reduce single-use plastic waste. Good practice to reduce plastic waste accounted for 80.3%. Practice to reduce plastic waste is related to knowledge and attitude. Conclusion: Students’ knowledge about plastic waste is still limited, most of the students’ plastic reduction practices are not good. Further research is needed to evaluate students’ knowledge, attitudes and practices to reduce plastic waste.Mô tả kiến thức, thái độ, thực hành về rác thải nhựa của sinh viên hệ bác sỹ Y học dự phòng trường Đại học Y Hà Nội. Đối tượng và phương pháp: Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang trên 370 sinh viên thuộc hệ bác sỹ y học dự phòng trường Đại học Y Hà Nội năm 2021, nhằm thu thập thông tin về kiến thức, thái độ, thực hành về rác thải nhựa. Kết quả: Đa phần sinh viên hiểu biết về tác động của rác thải nhựa đến môi trường, sức khỏe và động vật (>
95%), tuy nhiên kiến thức về các khía cạnh khác của rác thải nhựa là chưa tốt. Có 91,9% sinh viên cho rằng việc giảm thiểu rác thải nhựa là cần thiết và rất cần thiết. 88,4% sinh viên nghĩ rằng họ có trách nhiệm cá nhân trong giảm thiểu rác thái nhựa dùng một lần. Thực hành giảm thiểu rác thải nhựa chựa tốt chiếm 80,3%. Thực hành giảm thiểu rác thải nhựa có liên quan đến kiến thức, thái độ. Kết luận: Kiến thức của sinh viên về rác thải nhựa còn hạn chế, phần lớn thực hành giảm thiểu nhựa của sinh viên chưa tốt. Cần có thêm nghiên cứu sâu hơn nữa để đánh giá kiến thức, thái độ, thực hành giảm thiểu rác thải nhựa của sinh viên.
