Assessment of the nutritional status of chemotherapy-radiotherapy patients for hypopharynx-larynx cancer stage III-IV at the National Otorhinorarynology hospital of Vietnam in 2022. Subjects and study methods: Cross-sectional descriptive assessment of nutritional status at hospital stays on days 1st, 15th, and 30th of 50 patients suffering from pharynx-larynx cancer stage iii-iv. Results: The mean age of the patients was 54.3 years old, and most of them were men. On the 1stday 44.0% patients were malnourished by BMI classification and 86.0% of patients were underweight or at risk of malnutrition by PG-SGA (B or C). After 30 days of follow-up, the rates increased to 56.0% (BMI) and 98.0% (PG-SGA), in which 52.0% of patients have weight loss (26/50 patients). Conclusion: The malnutrition rate in patients suffering from hypopharynx-larynx cancer stage III-IV with chemotherapy-radiotherapy at the National Otorhinorarynology hospital of Vietnam in 2022, according to BMI, was relatively high and increased with the duration of hospital stay. Evaluation according to PG-SGA showed that the majority of patients were severely malnourished.Đánh giá tình trạng dinh dưỡng của người bệnh hóa - xạ trị ung thư hạ họng - thanh quản giai đoạn III - IV tại Bệnh viện Tai Mũi Họng Trung ương năm 2022. Đối tượng và phương pháp nghiên cứu: Nghiên cứu mô tả cắt ngang đánh giá tình trạng dinh dưỡng tại các thời điểm nằm viện ngày thứ 1, ngày thứ 15 và ngày thứ 30 của 50 người bệnh ung thư hạ họng - thanh quản giai đoạn III - IV điều trị hóa - xạ trị. Kết quả: Tuổi trung bình của người bệnh là 54,3, đa số là nam giới. Tại thời điểm bắt đầu nghiên cứu có 44,0% người bệnh suy dinh dưỡng theo BMI và 86,0% người bệnh có suy dinh dưỡng hoặc có nguy cơ suy dinh dưỡng theo PG-SGA (B hoặc C). Sau 30 ngày theo dõi, tỷ lệ này tăng lên 56,0% (theo BMI) và 98,0% (theo PG-SGA)
trong đó 52,0% người bệnh có tình trạng sụt cân (26/50 người bệnh). Kết luận: Tỷ lệ suy dinh dưỡng ở người bệnh hóa - xạ trị ung thư hạ họng - thanh quản theo BMI khá cao và tăng theo thời gian nằm viện. Đánh giá theo PG-SGA cho thấy đa số người bệnh suy dinh dưỡng ở mức độ nặng.
