Vocabulary is an important and crucial part of any language learning process since vocabulary is considered to be the solid foundation for any learner to learn all language skills. By examining seven related papers of different types, subjects and methodologies, this study aims to discuss various CALL-based vocabulary teaching techniques that could greatly facilitate learners in the learning process to get better outcomes. The use of powerpoint, online dictionaries and puzzles in vocabulary teaching will be examined in this paper. In addition, through the results and analysis, the authors would suggest several implications for teachers and students regarding the way to use these techniques effectively.
