Genus Spinibarbus oshima, Cyrinidae is multi-species species with 8 species on the world and those are the typical fish for fauna in the Southern China and Northern Vietnam. This genus developes quite originally in the Northern Vietnam with 8 species, in which, many high ecomonic and rare species. Specially, there are 5 new species that were described from samples collected from mountainous areas in Northern Vietnam. In recently, one more new species belong to this genus was founded in Na Hang district, Tuyen Quang province. This new species is similar to S. ovallius Hao and Van, 2001 because the anal fin has five branch rays
