During the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, Laos people rose up in arms against French colonialism many times, especially the fight led by Chau Pha Pat Chay (1918-1922). Apart from awakening the national spirit, the fight was the lofty and beautiful symbol of the unity between Laos and Vietnam during the fight against the enemy before the formulation of the Indochine Communist Party.
