Rhodic ferralsoils in Phu Quy area is suitable for many fruit and perennial trees. They are characterized by a deep soil profile and goos physic properties. The research results showed that the rhodic ferralsoils in Phu Quy have a soil profile depth is more than 1.2 m
soil porosity is higher than 65 percent, soil fertility is highly suitable for growing orange. As a results, the rhodic ferralsoils in Phu Quy are limited by following factors: the content of organic agents is medium (1.97-3.58 percent)
soils are acidic (pH 3.89 - 4.68), low in total potassium (0.27 - 0.52 percent), low in available phosphorus (4.82 - 13.68 mg/100g soil), low in Ca2+ (2.41 -5.47 me/100g soil). It is necessary to apply lime for increasing soil acidity, add organic fertilizers, phosporus, potassium for orange on these soils.
