The 2018 General Education Program (GDPT) with the biggest innovation is the focus on developing learners' capacity. The goal of Literature is not only to help students practice their language and expression skills but also to help them understand life and people more deeply. However, the current assessment of students' learning outcomes is still heavy on memorization, forming the habit of memorization and mechanical learning in students, which goes against current educational goals. From the above current situation, it is necessary to change the assessment of learning outcomes in Literature towards developing literary appreciation capacity.
