The excavated trenches inside Thanh Noi (Inner citadel) were based on the places that legendarily were important architectures from the Tran - Ho periods. The excavated trench considered to be Dong Thai Mieu (eastern King's temple) was unearthed with a fairly large- scale foundation of architecture from the Tran - Ho periods under the early Le's foundation. The excavated trench in the area of "Nen Vua" (King's foundation) shows architectural remains from the Tran - Ho period lying deeply underground and were overlapped by the Le's architecture. However, their scale and physiognomy have not been identified. The first excavated trench on one of the guarding post of La Thanh (outer citadel) just revealed that the citadel was built with earth collected on site and no artifacts have been found there so far. The collection of the found artifacts from those trenches is rich with mainly bricks, tiles, ceramics and earthen awares from the Tran - Ho and early Le periods.
