In the context of current educational reforms, competency-based education imposes new demands on teachers and students in general education schools. This trend also applies to the teaching of literature and, specifically, reading comprehension. Teaching reading comprehension of fairy tale texts aims to form and develop students’ reading comprehension skills. There are various methods to organize teaching to develop students’ competencies. Utilizing a system of questions in teaching reading comprehension is considered an effective approach to developing these skills. Based on this, the paper proposes a framework for constructing questions to develop reading comprehension skills in fairy tales for secondary school students. It not only helps students explore and acquire knowledge but also stimulates their thinking, creativity, and self-awareness.
