Objectives: Evaluating the recovery of the peripheral conduction of median nerve of the injection Depo-medrol into the transverse in the carpal tunnel syndrome treatment. Methods: 45 patients carpal tunnel syndrome were clinical examination, injected Depo-medrol into the transverse ligament and evaluated electrophysiological status before and after treatment. Results: before treatment, 5 out of 6 electrophysiological indexes of patients were far different with normal people including: the peripheral motor latency
the peripheral sensory latency
the SCS
the motor NCV
peripheral sensory amplitude. After one month treatment, there were 3 markedly changed indexes: the peripheral motor latency
the peripheral sensory latency and the SCS. After 2 months, all of the five indexes followed very good processes. A few patients who failed to recover were developed for a long time or had other injure in the wrist.
