 Background/purpose: Solitary non-parasitic cysts of the liver are commonly asymptomatic are rarely and require no intervention
  however, when the cysts become symptomatic and are then best treated surgically. The optimal surgical treatment is debatable. The aim of this study was. to evaluate the role of deroofing as a safe and effective approach in the management of simple non-parasitic hepatic cysts. Materials and methods: There are two patients that underwent hepatic cyst deroofing at Lam Dong general hospital in 2009 and 2011, they are female, the first wowman is prior people and the other one is major people, deroofing was achieved by laparoscopic surgery. The principle of surgical approaches was to remove as more as possible of the cystic wall and pack the residual cavity with case of omentum. Results: Two patients had simple hepatic cysts and all was symptomaic, the cysts with case of size is 186mm and 91.4mm, the main complain was upper abdominal pain, flatulence, anorexia, the liver was palpable at under right costal margin
  two patients were treated by laparoscopic deroofing, they were examinated every 3 and 6 months after discharge for the period of the study. Conclusion: All patients with case of simple hepatic cysts require discussion to confirm the diagnosis and determine the most appropriate method of treatment, laparoscopic deroofing provide complete relief of symptoms for patient and that was the procedure of choice, the other treatment approaches is usually recurrent.
