Health care for children at school age is always important for all countries. Therefore, during the recent years the government and related organisations and associations have issued many documents related to school medicine. Objective: studies on the peiformance of health care system in schools. Material and method: The authors conducted a study on 35 primary schools in Thai Nguyen city (of which there were 34 public and 01 private schools) in order to investigate the status of health care system in general and ear nose throat care in schools. Methods used were direct interviews, observation, and role play in proposed situations. Results: The authors found that 100 percent of the schools have been of concerns and interests of related ministries and organisations
100 percent of public schools had in-school health care staff and primary facility. However, the effectiveness of health care at schools was limited due to some reasons. Conclustion: The authors shall continue to study in this direction to recommend suitable solution to this aspect.
