The authors have constructed of technological process for extraction and purification of the amangostin from the fruit hull of mangosteen on laboratory scale with purity 98.6 percent by HPLC chromatography. To provide an appropriate technical parameters used in Vietnam climatic conditions: extraction temperature 60oC
solvent: ethanol with a solvent ratio of material is 3/1 and time of 4 hours, alpha-mangostin was isolated from the fruit hulls of Garcinia mangostana L. collected in Southern Vietnam. The structure of alpha-mangostin was elucidated by spectroscopic methods, including the application of a number of two dimensional (2D), NMR techniques (1H-NMR, 13C-NMR correlation spectroscopy (COSY).
